Field determination for roughness length above the different non-erodible surfaces

【摘要】<p>Non-erodible elements, for its disturbance to the near-surface airflow, have been widely used in arid and semi-arid regions</p><p>to protect the surface from wind erosion. Roughness length was usually used to evaluate the protection effect of</p><p>non-erodible elements from wind erosion. In this study, the wind profiles above five types of non-erodible surfaces including</p><p>gravel, wheat straw checkerboard barriers, cotton stem checkerboard barriers, shrubs, and herbs were measured</p><p>and analyzed. The wind velocities above these surfaces increased with height approximately in logarithmic functions. The</p><p>roughness length of different non-erodible surfaces was calculated by the functions of wind profiles.&nbsp;</p>

Further Exploring Linear Concentration Addition and Independent Action for Predicting Non-interactive Mixture Toxicity

【摘要】<p>Since it is unrealistic to do an experimental mixture assessment on every possible combination, mathematical model plays an important role in predicting the mixture toxicity. The present study is devoted to the further application of linear concentration addition (CA)-based model (LCA) and independent action (IA)-based model (LIA) to predict the non-interactive mixture toxicity. The 26 mixtures including 312 data points were used to evaluate the predictive powers of LCA and LIA models. The models were internally validated using the leave-one-out cross-validation and y-randomization test, and the external validations were evaluated by the test tests. Both LCA and LIA models agree well with the experimental values for all mixture toxicity, and present high internally (R2 and Q2 &gt; 0.98) and externally (Q2F1, Q2F2, and Q2F3 &gt; 0.99) predictive power. &nbsp;</p>

浅析内部网关协议IS-IS

Engrafted newborn neurons could functionally integrate into the host neuronal network

【摘要】<p>The limited capability to regenerate new neurons following</p><p>injuries of the central neural system (CNS) still remains a major</p><p>challenge for basic and clinical neuroscience. Neural stem cells</p><p>(NSCs) could nearly have the potential to differentiate into all</p><p>kinds of neural cells in vitro. Previous studies verified that</p><p>exogenous transplanted NSCs are capable of differentiating</p><p>into neurons and projecting onto the host neurons in the rat</p><p>brain (Tabar et al., 2005; Dong JR et al., 2012), which could</p><p>lead to behavioral recovery from neuronal damages such as</p><p>spinal cord injury (McDonald et al., 1999), Parkinson’s disease</p><p>(Gonzalez et al., 2015; Kim et al., 2002; Lindvall, 2001), and</p><p>stroke (Zhang et al., 2016). In January, 2013, the Food and</p><p>Drug Administration (FDA) of United States has given</p><p>Neuralstem clearance to commence its human spinal stem cell</p><p>transplantation in chronic spinal cord injury (Orelli, 2013).&nbsp;</p><p><br/></p>
