【摘要】<p>The Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway plays a crucial role in the embryonic development of metazoans. Although the pathway has been studied extensively in many model animals, its function in amphioxus, the most primitive chordate, remains largely uncharacterized. To obtain basic data for functional analysis, we identified and isolated seven genes (Lrp5/6, Dvl, APC, CkIα, CkIδ, Gsk3β, and Gro) of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway from the amphioxus (Branchiostoma floridae) genome. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that amphioxus had fewer members of each gene family than that found in vertebrates. Whole-mount in situ hybridization showed that the genes were maternally expressed and broadly distributed throughout the whole embryo at the cleavage and blastula stages. Among them, Dvl was expressed asymmetrically towards the animal pole, while the others were evenly distributed in all blastomeres. <br/></p>

【摘要】<p>Ayu (Plecoglossus altivelis) fish, which are an amphidromous species distributed in East Asia, live<br/>in brackish water (BW) during their larval stage and in fresh water (FW) during their adult stage. In this study, we found that FW-acclimated ayu larvae exhibited a slower growth ratio compared with that of BW-acclimated larvae. However, the mechanism underlying FW acclimation on growth suppression is poorly known. We employed transcriptome analysis to investigate the differential gene expression of FW acclimation by RNA sequencing. We identified 158 upregulated and 139 downregulated transcripts in FW-acclimated ayu larvae compared with that in BW-acclimated larvae. As determined by Gene Ontology annotation and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway mapping, functional annotation of the genes covered diverse biological<br/>functions and processes, and included neuroendocrinology, osmotic regulation, energy metabolism, and the cytoskeleton. <br/></p>

【摘要】Antimicrobial resistance is an urgent global health challenge in human and veterinary medicine. Wild animals are not directly exposed to clinically relevant antibiotics; however, antibacterial resistance in wild animals has been increasingly reported worldwide in parallel to the situation in human and veterinary medicine. This underlies the complexity of bacterial resistance in wild animals and the possible interspecies transmission between humans, domestic animals, the environment, and wildlife. This review summarizes the current data on expanded- spectrum p-lactamase (ESBL), AmpC p-lactamase, carbapenemase, and colistin resistance genes in Enterobacteriaceae isolates of wildlife origin. The aim of this review is to better understand the important role of wild animals as reservoirs and vectors in the global dissemination of crucial clinical antibacterial resistance. In this regard, continued surveillance is urgently needed worldwide.

【摘要】The spectra with wavelength range of 390 nm to 660 nm of triggered lightning were observed in Guangdong Areausing a slitless spectrograph. The characteristics of the lightning spectra during the initial continuous current and returnstrokes were analyzed, and the differences between the metal section and air section of the lightning channel werecompared. The results showed that the metal spectra were contained in the metal section during the initial continuouscurrent. As for the lightning channel of the return strokes, the line spectra for both the metal section and the air section wereidentical; neither of the two sections contained the metal spectra, but the relative intensity of its emission spectrum wasdifferent. Owing to different radiation mechanisms, the spectral structures and luminance of the two sections were not thesame. Combined with the current data, it was found that there was a good positive correlation between the total spectralstrength and the transferred charge. The total intensity of the lightning channel spectrum increased with the height of thechannel, indicating that the radiation sequence of the lightning channel was different. High temporal resolution observationsshowed that the spectral line duration could be divided into three categories, in which the lines with higher excitationenergy appear first and decay rapidly, while those with lower excitation energy appear later but last longer.
